Guidance Notes for using West End Village Hall

West End Lane, Esher, Surrey. KT10 8LF


Please note that smoking is not allowed anywhere within the hall and no lighted candles can be used.


WHEN ENTERING THE HALL

  1. The key for access is held in the key safe next to the main entrance. The safe code must be obtained from the Lettings Administrator 3 or 4 days prior to use.

  2. Turn on the master lighting switch in the cupboard by the main entrance

BEFORE LEAVING THE HALL

  1. Please leave the hall in the condition in which you would expect to find it yourselves as there is no cleaning carried out between each letting.

  2. Wipe clean and replace all tables and chairs used and replace them together with the stage ( if used) in the furniture store in the positions indicated.

  3. Clean up by sweeping the floors and wiping any kitchen surfaces used. Please take all rubbish home with you.

  4. If you have altered any of the heating controls, reset them to the timed position. In the winter, close the hall curtains to retain the heat.

  5. Close all windows and ensure that the side door is locked. Turn off all lights and then turn off the master switch in the cupboard by the main entrance.

  6. Lock the main door, return the key to the key safe, close the key safe door and scramble the combination.

SESSION TIMES

  1. Afternoon 1.30 to 5.30 pm    Evening 6.00 to 12 midnight

  2. These times must be adhered to unless previous permission has been obtained from the Trustees.

PARTIES AND RELATED FUNCTIONS

  1. Young children's parties and discos are allowed in the afternoon or early evening, provided that a minimum of one adult per 10 children is in attendance.

  2. Parties for 13 to 21 year olds are not permitted.

  3. Please note Condition 2 regarding noise nuisance - music should be turned down at 11pm and off by 11.30pm.
